On-on to Hashing on the Outer Banks

The OBX Hash House Harriers is North Carolina's eastern-most Drinking Club with a Running Problem, and also the largest Hash between Rodanthe and Kitty Hawk. Our goal is to promote friendly socializing and enjoy the comraderie of new and interesting people from all over.

If you a hasher visiting the Outer Banks, call Maybe at 252-599-2450. And leave a message because I try not to answer the damn thing.

We gather at a different designated location weekly or bi-weekly, depending on how energetic we feel. On a typical trail, one person (sometimes two) called the hare sets off to lay a trail of flour and chalk. The rest of the group, the hounds, sets off 12 minutes later in pursuit of the hare. The trail is usually is 2 to 3 miles, and covers all different types of terrain. Once everyone has arrived at the end of the trail, we gather for refreshments and the On-On celebration.

We are not a competitive group, and we don't really care whether you run, walk or crawl the trail. However the very nature of exercise tends be a healthy activity. If you get in shape, it's your own damn fault, we take no responsibility.

Anyone and everyone is invited to see if you'd like to join our group, however on occasion there is alcohol consumed, therefore you must be 21 or older to participate.

For info on our next trail, check back here, email obxh3@yahoogroups.com or call the Hash Hotline (which is really just my cell phone) at 252-599-2450. And leave a message. See above.

On-on!
